Fortnite Item Shop Highlights
In other news today's item shop is looking calm. Nothing new yet nothing too boring. The store is actually just Christmas-ed up for the festive season. X-mas skins are kind of the best thing you can buy for a friend in this jolly season so that's something to consider.

The Fall of Xtra Gaming
You probably haven't heard of this organization, but at some point they seemed to be the fastest growing esports team like they came off as the next 100T or Faze Clan.
I mean they had an all-star roster in Deyy, Reet, Caleb, Mero, Illest and Alleige, well representing them in titles like Fortnite and Apex Legends. That sound like the most stacked roster Joe, I can't see a fault so what went wrong? Did they just run out of capital?
Actually no, well kinda.
The team had a scandal, one of the team's players had gone on a night out with a friend and two strangers, well content creators, who had invited them on a night out and to summarize the two strangers drugged them and committed rape!
When the players told the founder of Xtra the news, he silenced them and threatened them saying if they spoke out they couldn't be on the team anymore stating that the org. could not be associated with such a scandal.
Months later when the players eventually spoke out, the organization's top shareholder, Subnation and their top sponsor, Razer, both dropped the team and team just folded. It all started with all the players quitting, followed by the founders deleting their online presence.
R.I.P to the team that could've been.

Gen.G snags trophy at RLCS Spring Split Major
The Rocket League Championship Series 2022-23 - Fall Major has just concluded after days of watching the intense series from qualifiers to the championship days between 8 and 11 December were 16 teams competed for the crown.
I was watching steadily as Moist esports knocked out a bunch of teams including fan favorites like G2 Esports, whose Berlin facilities I want to one day visit with a friend, and Faze Clan, which I still can't believe happened ,but Moist was my favorite team going into the Fall Major so it's all good.
Sadly though they too got knocked out. Well in their finals match against a not-so-well-known esports team in Gen.G, when it comes to Rocket League at least ,but Gen.G had made some mad roster changes beforehand which set them up to win at the Rotterdam Ahoy site in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where the playoffs where held. I mean look at them they had players like ApparentlyJack and Nolly on their roster, who they had picked up late September winning them the $100 000 cash prize for first place.
More than ever it seems like all non-Rocket League teams like Gen.G have to do is sign some S-tier players the month before the RLCS tournaments and they instantly stand a chance at winning gold.
What ever happened to the good ol' days when RLCS players formed a team on their own and stayed on that one team. It could be argued to be the TurboPolsa effect, which was created when TurboPolsa moved from EU to NA thus joining the best NA team at the time in NRG, which was doing fine without him in my opinion ,but then again they didn't have any gold to show for it.
Esports may soon evolve to be like sports team' trades like those of Kevin Durant and AD moving between teams.
